PASSION & GRATITUDE

I would be lying if I said I was a great student during my junior and senior year of college. I (almost) always got my work turned in, but my class attendance slowly dwindled and my social life began to decline as music began to take over my life.

Music lessons were never part of my childhood. I sang in choir but didn’t pick up my first instrument until college. Fumbling around on guitar during my freshman year at LMU led to producing which eventually led to engineering and then mixing. In fall of 2020, I started working as a mix assistant for a Grammy-nominated mixing engineer named Jesse Ray Ernster, and he quickly became a mentor. Jesse won his first Grammy several months after we began working together, and the day after that happened we got the call for Doja Cat’s “Woman”. My new role working with Jesse was picking up, and I started to invest all of my time into engineering, producing and mixing music.

Fast forward to 2023, I am now a multi-platinum selling, Grammy-nominated mixing engineer.

In 2022, I spent time making music in Italy, Ghana, Los Angeles, London and Amsterdam.

I feel incredibly privileged to have the opportunity to pursue my passion in life, and I refuse to take that opportunity for granted. I wouldn’t be anywhere without the love and support of my parents, thank you mom and dad.

Thoughts + Quotes

1. Tell your parents you love them.

2. Be kind to others and to yourself.

3. You are the only person standing in your own way of greatness. Nobody is going to hand you the tools and opportunities to be great, so make it happen for yourself.

4. Be your own biggest cheerleader, excelling at anything comes with sacrifice. Be proud of yourself, don’t rely on other people’s reactions to your success to make you feel good.

5. Be a delusional optimist. Take risks. There’s no time to think about failing when your target is being the best.

6. You can’t be relentless without passion, so go find your passion.

“Don’t tell me the glass is half-full or half-empty, you either have something in that glass or you don’t.”  (Tim Grover, Relentless)

“There’s two people: the man that thinks they can, and the man who thinks they can’t, and they’re both right.” (Kanye West)

What’s next? Basketball.

I’m not gonna get too deep into it, but come back to this one…

Noah 'MixGiant' Glassman

My name is Noah Glassman aka MIXGIANT. I was born and raised in the Coachella Valley in southern California. I studied film and television production/marketing at Loyola Marymount University. I fell in love with music at a young age, but it wasn't until I picked up my guitar ‘Suzanne’ that I discovered my love for making records. Under the mentorship of Grammy award-winning engineer Jesse Ray Ernster, I began my career as a record mixer. I am now training to play professional basketball.
